» Events • Photo Albums - Micah shaves his head for cancer research

In September, one of our grade 4 students shaved his head for cancer research. The Cridge Seniors' Centre kindly hosted the event. The whole school and many members of the Cridge were there to support Micah, who was raising money for the "Light the Night" walk, an annual event in support of the Leukemia and Lymphoma Society. We all enjoyed watching Micah lose his locks. Everyone contributed to support Micah's fund raising. His original goal was $250, and in the end Micah raised close to $1200! Way to go Micah! We are all so proud of his efforts. :) And a big high five to Megan Stretch of Headstart Salon for donating her hairdressing skills for the event.
