» Events • Photo Albums - Visit to the UVic Climate Lab with Dr. Weaver

In early October, our senior class took a trip to UVic to visit Dr. Andrew Weaver's climate lab as part of their studies in weather and climate. Dr. Weaver introduced us to his graduate students who spent some time teaching us about the projects they are working on in the lab. We visited the computer room to see where data is gathered from weather stations all over Victoria (including ours at EBS). Then we learned about clouds, impact craters, receding glaciers, and the impact of elevated CO₂ levels on the inhabitants of the ocean. A big thanks to Dr. Weaver and his team for helping our students to better understand climate. It was exciting to learn about research that is happening right here in Victoria!
