Elizabeth Buckley School is operated by the Hands On Summer Camp Society, a non-profit organization. The Hands on Summer Camp Society operates both the school and a summer camp.

The Board of Directors consists of parents who are dedicated to the success of the school and camp, and are responsible for the overall administration of the society. This includes creating and monitoring budgets (with independent funding for the school and camp), providing direction, and setting policies. The principal is responsible for overseeing the curriculum and day-to-day operation of the school.

The society welcomes new members and encourages active participation on the Board. The Board holds its meetings at the school, usually on the third Wednesday of the month. (Board meetings are open to all parents and the minutes are available for download by clicking the links, left.) Parents are encouraged and welcomed at all board meetings. Attendance at the Annual General Meeting by a representative of each family is mandatory. Child minding will be available onsite for the AGM.
